MOSCOW, Feb 1 (PRIME) -- Russian industrial corporation Rostec will participate in financing of production of MC-21 passenger aircraft, which is the first step to integrate United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) into Rostec, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Thursday.

“I can confirm,” Peskov said.

Earlier on Thursday, business daily Kommersant reported, citing sources, that President Vladimir Putin supported an idea by Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov to use funds of Rostec on production of MC-21 aircraft and that a draft presidential order envisaging a merger between the companies has been prepared.

One of the sources told the daily that investments in MC-21 can amount to about 30 billion rubles in 2018–2020.
